Donna Messer and business colleague, Debbie Trenholm, are proud Canadians who throughout their careers have been promoting Canada, Canadians and Canadian businesses domestically and on the world’s stage. The two met recently at an international conference and discovered that they shared a common dream – to promote the positive aspects about their country as good news to the world.

Donna is an acclaimed author, speaker, editor and publisher of Business
Woman Canada Magazine and President of ConnectUs International. Where
ever she goes, she connects people to show them that as you build a network
you get work. By developing We Choose Canada,
Donna will be integral in helping spread the good news throughout Canada
…that we are proud of the country that we live in.
Debbie Trenholm
Debbie has focused her career developing international business opportunities
for an array of Canadian companies from wineries to high tech. A recent
Queen’s Executive MBA graduate, Debbie recognizes that the Canadian
business environment is changing…for the good. Regardless of the
bad news headlines about our country, Debbie is devoted to We
Choose Canada to untap the national pride that is integral
to the progress of our culture, business and the economy.
The goal of We Choose Canada is to learn and share the stories of individuals by visiting and interviewing a variety of people - from settled Canadians to recent immigrants, in small towns and large cities, and finding out what they love the most about this great nation.
The goal is to travel across Canada visiting and interviewing people who live in small towns and large cities learning why they choose to live in Canada. On July 1st, armed with tape recorders and digital cameras, the two businesswomen will begin in Ontario, asking the question, “Why do you choose to live and work in Canada?” With sponsorship funding, their travel will be extended to other provinces and territories which will allow their dream to be realized on a national scale.
