Increased Connectivity = Increased
Opportunities
Being connected is important –
using those connections is key to successful
development. Meaningful participation is our
goal. Positive linking can provide valuable
social roles that will help us continue our
efforts to support people to become more active
participants in their community and to enjoy
meaningful community activities.
Building connectivity is all about finding out
what we have in common…..this workshop is about
finding those common denominators. You will
learn to develop profitable contacts by using
your W3.
Who are you, how can you help support
people to become more active participants in
their community? What do you need to help make
this possible? What are you willing to share
that might help others with what they need?
We are all in the business of helping others
…the secret to success is finding out what people
need, then finding a way to make that connection.
Increased Connectivity = Increased Opportunity.
In this workshop we will use the AHA Mind Map
(a tool that helps participants recognize their
connectivity level) to develop a plan that can
be customized for each participant.
In this workshop you will learn the “The 10
Rules for Increased Connectivity”:
1. Your Handshake – what does it say?
2. Your Infomercial – how to make it count.
3. Your body language – make it say what you
want it to.
4. Your listening skills – learn to ask the
“right” questions.
5. Your common denominators – people like people
who are like themselves.
6. Lateral Thinking – there is more than one
way to get what you need.
7. Connectivity – how to build loyalty
8. Netiquette – the etiquette of networking
– how to generate winning introductions that
generate opportunities.
9. Link & Think – the new technology of
connecting.
10. The challenges of change – it’s all about
perception.
Challenge vs Challenging – According to the
dictionary, Challenges are confrontational,
Challenging is inspirational - The Choice is
Ours – The journey of discovery can be an opportunity
to find ways to support people to become more
active participants in their community.
